The Center for Energy Solutions and Applications

The Center for Energy Solutions and Applications (Center), administered by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT), can provide objective technical assistance, free of charge, to Connecticut based small and medium sized manufacturers or economic based businesses.

Eligibility

To be eligible for assistance from the Center, an applicant must meet two mandatory criteria.  Find out if you qualify.

Eligibility Questionnaire

If you think you meet the eligibility criteria, fill out and send in the eligibility questionnaire.

The Center can assess opportunities to integrate advanced distributed generation technologies into existing or planned facilities. The mission of the Center is to increase the penetration of distributed generation in order to reduce energy costs, increase environmental performance, and promote economic development in Connecticut.

The Center will collect an eligible facility’s energy consumption information to analyze its electric and thermal (heating) requirements. The Center will then perform an economic and technical analysis, and    determine which advanced distributed generation technologies best  match the facility’s energy needs and the potential return on investment.

The Center can potentially provide pathways for:

  • Reduced energy costs
  • Improved loads profile
  • Reduce peak load growth
  • Reduced greenhouse emissions
  • Improved environmental quality
  • Development of renewable energy resources

Additional information regarding eligibility criteria can be found here.  For additional information, contact CCAT Energy at (860) 291-8832 or energycenter@ccat.us
